A never ending story is ‘grass cutting’ and given the beautiful weather we had early September, it made the grass grow even quicker. We had a dilemma. There were matches to play but the grass was too long and we were looking at being fined heavily for each match postponed. Luckily, Jack from Sandy Bay Caravan Park (https://www.sandybaycaravanpark.co.uk) heard our plea for help. Together with our very own coach Tom Lloyd, they both stuck at it with ‘push along’ standard petrol mowers for the entire weekend. By the end of it they both looked like they were wearing green ‘all-in-one’ overalls. All the pitches were immaculate and ready to play on. We can’t thank you enough Jack for your efforts for the club.
